Trip Highlights
- Day 1 – Meeting up at the Ace Cafe in London for your photo shoot at the start of your 20,000 miles of world conquering riding.
- Riding the high passes through the Swiss Alps and into Italy.
- Historic and atmospheric Prague - beautiful, crumbling archetecture and very cheap beer!
- Slovakia and the Tatras Mountains with beautiful, empty mountain roads and fantastic scenery.
- Iconic Budapest on the mighty Danube and then Transylvania and Dracula's Castle at Bran in the depths of the old Soviet Eastern bloc.
- Huge, sprawling Istanbul at the gateway to Asia. Visit the Blue Mosque before heading inland to the cave town of Goreme and spectacular Mount Nemrut.
- Fascinating Tbilisi and then into Azerbaijan in the Caucuses, before embarking on the never-to-be-forgotten boat ride across the Caspian Sea.
- Unique Turkmenistan with its marbled capital, Ashgabat, and burning desert craters.
- The Silk Road through Uzbekistan - Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand with its spectacular Ragistan.
- Tough roads and stunning mountain scenery through Kyrgyzstan. Camping out among the Yurts at Som Kul.
- The Altai in Russia with great roads and beautiful alpinesque scenery.
- Western Mongolia - breathtaking scenery for hundreds of miles of pristine wilderness and some challenging roads.
- The Trans-Siberian Highway and thousands of miles of broken roads. Enjoy camping out in the great Russian wilderness on the long road to Vladivostok.
- Japan and a sudden and profound change in culture. Enjoy riding the skyways into Tokyo before we get ready to ship to mainland United States.
- Vancouvre Island and the Inside Passage boat trip to Prince Rupert. A fantasic journey through the islands and inlets of Canada's stunning Pacific coast.
- Ride classic roads like the Alaskan and Klonyke Highways through the Canadian and Alaskan wilderness to Anchorage, Fairbanks and Dawson.
- Jasper and Glacier Nation Parks and the "Going to the Sun Road".
- The long road east through America's mid-west and then up to Niagara Falls on the Great Lakes.
- Day 113 - Riding into Manhatten in New York, dusty, tired and having experienced 4 months of amazing, challenging and simply unforgettable adventures.

Pre-Expedition Training
We at Kudu take great pride in running thoroughly professional expeditions which are open to anyone with a desire to challenge themselves and what they are capable of. You do not need to be a highly experienced motorcyclist, off-road expert or have a huge amount of adventurous travel experience. With Kudu's unique pre-expedition and en-route training, all included in the price, you can begin the toughest challenge of your life well prepared for what lies ahead.
Expedition orientation (1 day):
- Meet the Kudu team and each other
- Equipment familiarisation
- Route familiarisation
- GPS training
- Expedition administration
Off Road training (2 days):
- Dedicated off-road instruction and practice
Mechanics and first aid (1 Day):
- Motorcycle maintenance
- Basic motorcycle repair
- Puncture repair
- First Aid training
The Bikes
A limited number of Kudu motorcycles will be available for this expedition. They will all be the latest model BMW 800GS fully kitted out for the expedition with aluminium panniers, handlebar mounted GPS and other essential modifications. They will also have a full and thorough pre-expedition service by our own very experienced mechanics, and you will get the added bonus of knowing that our expedition support vehicles will be kitted out with all the tools and spares to keep it on the road. You will also get the option of purchasing your expedition ready bike from us.
All riders may of course opt to ride their own bike and if you are unsure which option will be best for you then please don't hesitate to get in contact with us for some advice.

We at Kudu Expeditions pride ourselves on striving to make these amazing adventures accessible to all, irrespective of background or experience. We do this by talking to our customers, and making sure that they have a good understanding of what the expedition entails before they commit to it. We also run pre-trip training which is included in the price.
